Kenneth Roban

Partner, Managing Director, Wealth Manager

Ken Roban founded the Reservoir Road Financial Group (RRFG) at Steward Partners in 2020. He has been providing financial advice to families, entrepreneurs and corporate executives for almost 25 years.

Ken developed his knowledge and passion for the investment markets at Lehman Brothers where he made equity recommendations to mutual and hedge fund managers. Subsequently, he made a transition from the world of institutional sales and trading, to financial planning and portfolio management for successful families.

His focus on risk management and commitment to understanding and putting clients’ interests above everything else are the guiding principles of RRFG.. Ken is very proud of the fact that he has guided his clients through extended periods of turbulence including the 2000-2002 “tech-wreck” bear market and the financial crisis of 2008.

Reservoir Road runs over the Cross River Dam in Katonah and provides a peaceful respite for Ken and his family. Similar to Reservoir Road, Ken looks to provide his clients with a clear path to their goals. No matter what is happening in the markets, Ken remains purposeful, goal oriented and stays the course. When he’s not deep in research or talking to clients at his desk, you can often find him taking this hike that serves as an oasis of calm and an inspiration for rational thinking.

Ken develops very close relationships with his clients and they seek his advice beyond their investments. Ken’s proprietary five-step consultative wealth management process ensures clients’ investments are aligned with their values and long-term goals. He also works closely with his clients’ other professional advisors to create and execute their wealth transfer and charitable giving strategies.

Ken holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Cornell University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Economics from NYU Stern School of Business. Ken lives about a quarter of a mile from Reservoir Road in Katonah, NY with his wife, two kids and two dogs. When he is not advising clients, you can find him enjoying good food, good wine, long walks, playing soccer, basketball or baseball with his kids, sneaking in an occasional round of golf, or listening to his favorite music. He is also a member of the Westchester Business Council, a trustee of Temple Shaaray Tefila in Bedford Corners NY, has served on the Finance Committee of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Community Center of Northern Westchester.
